Secret Moon Shards
Secret Moon Shards
GAME IS STILL IN PROGRESS. I only have five levels, some sounds, and lots of bugs.
Tilemap and characters are made by CanariGames, https://canarigames.itch.io/canaripack-1bit-topdown
The rest is made by me.
My game entry, combining the themes: Secrets & Moonshot, for the two game jams :
How to Play
Complete levels by reaching the goal, the stairs, to go further down in the secret dungeon. Gather moon shards by completing the (secret) mission in each level. Some mission has different pass criteria. If the mission is a success, you get a pink moon shard in the top left corner.
- Restart level by pressing r
- Move with a, s, d, w
- Shoot moon shard with left mouse button
- Teleport to moon shard's location with right mouse button
Coil Subscribers
Coil subscribers can enjoy the following bonuses
- Press "space" to change character skin. You can play as a princess or a dog

Love the animations and feel of shooting/teleporting, very satisfying to smash through things!
Nice game, I liked the gameplay, it can evolve a lot with more levels, the art style is also great.
Thank you for the feedback. The graphics are pre-made by CanariGames, so I can’t take credit for that. I wanted to make my own graphics, but I never made it that far.
I really enjoyed it! It has been fun smashing things :) I did not expect this much fun behind these minimalistic graphics, to be honest.
Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you liked it despite all of the bugs, and only five levels.
Finished the game with joy!
I really like the simplicity in both the gameplay and the graphics. The animations and controllers are smooth :)
Thank you very much.
Very cool little game. Nice implementation of the shard mechanic. I noticed a bug where you can teleport outisde of the map if you hit the shard on a box at a funny angle, just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks for playing, and for the feedback as well :D I have noticed the same bug myself. I think I need to do a ray-cast right when I shoot, so I can predict where the collision will happen. I actually have more bugs than that :D but I think I will leave it for this game jam.
